General / What is Nexus

What is Nexus?
Nexus is an agent-native operations platform built for ecommerce and communication-heavy businesses. It unifies CRM, order management, inventory, omnichannel messaging (WhatsApp, Facebook, Instagram), fulfillment, and shipping — in one multi-tenant platform. AI agents can connect and operate it autonomously via MCP. Read the full docs →
Who is Nexus built for?
Ecommerce brands, retail operators, and B2B businesses that run high volumes of customer conversations across WhatsApp, social channels, and phone — while managing orders, warehouse, and shipping. Nexus is especially suited to MENA teams with Arabic-first needs. Teams of 5–500 use it today.
What problems does Nexus solve?
Most operations teams manage 5–7 disconnected tools: a WhatsApp inbox, an order spreadsheet, a shipping dashboard, a separate CRM, and a warehouse system. Nexus replaces all of them with one source of truth — fewer missed orders, faster response times, and a complete customer view across every team.
How is Nexus different from using separate tools?
With separate tools, data lives in silos: your WhatsApp team does not see order status, your warehouse does not see shipping issues, your CRM does not know who complained yesterday. Nexus connects all of these so every event — a complaint, a late order, a VIP re-order — is visible to the right team instantly.
Is Nexus only for WhatsApp?
No. WhatsApp is a popular entry point, but Nexus covers the full operating stack: orders, warehouse, shipping, CRM, campaigns, and multi-channel messaging across WhatsApp, Facebook Messenger, Instagram DMs, email, and VoIP.

Messaging & WhatsApp

Does Nexus support WhatsApp Business API?
Yes. Nexus integrates with the official WhatsApp Business API. You can send and receive messages, create automation flows, send campaign broadcasts, and view conversation history linked to your CRM contacts and order history. Messaging docs →
Can I manage Facebook Messenger and Instagram DMs in Nexus?
Yes. All three Meta channels — WhatsApp, Messenger, and Instagram — are available in the Nexus unified inbox. Conversations are tagged, assigned, and linked to the contact record automatically. No channel switching needed.
How does the unified inbox work?
Every incoming message — across WhatsApp, Messenger, Instagram, and email — lands in one queue. Agents can see conversation history, the customer's order status, and AI-generated tags (buying intent, complaint, urgent) without leaving the inbox.
Can Nexus send bulk WhatsApp campaigns?
Yes. Growth and Scale plan subscribers can send broadcast campaigns to segmented contact lists via WhatsApp. Campaigns respect WhatsApp Business API template rules and are tracked for delivery and response rates.

CRM & Customer Data

What CRM features does Nexus include?
Contact records, company records, customer journey stages (lead → prospect → customer → VIP → churned), full interaction history, RFM scoring, LTV tracking, and churn risk signals. Every contact is automatically enriched as orders, conversations, and transactions flow through. CRM docs →
Does Nexus support RFM scoring and customer segmentation?
Yes. Nexus calculates Recency, Frequency, and Monetary scores for every customer and surfaces high-risk and high-value segments automatically. You can filter and target segments for campaigns or manual follow-ups.
Can I track customer interactions across all channels in one place?
Yes. Every order, message, call, and support event is linked to the same contact record regardless of which channel it came in on. Your team sees the complete picture — no switching between systems.

Orders, Fulfillment & Shipping

Does Nexus manage the full order lifecycle?
Yes. Orders move through pending → confirmed → fulfilling → shipped → delivered → returned, with status visible to every relevant team member. Nexus supports COD, prepaid, and partial payment orders. Order management docs →
What shipping carriers does Nexus integrate with?
Bosta (AWB creation and real-time tracking) is the primary carrier integration today, with more regional carriers on the roadmap. Nexus also supports manual AWB entry and tracking for any carrier.
Does Nexus handle pick-pack-ship workflows?
Yes. Warehouse teams can generate pick lists, print packing slips, scan barcodes to confirm items, and hand off to shipping — all within Nexus. Batch picking and bin location tracking are included on relevant plans.
Can Nexus handle COD (cash on delivery) orders?
Yes. COD is a first-class order type in Nexus. Orders are flagged as COD, tracked through confirmation and delivery, and updated when payment is collected — critical for MENA ecommerce where COD remains dominant.

AI & Automation

What AI features does Nexus include?
The AI Signal Layer reads every incoming conversation and annotates it in real time: buying_intent, complaint, urgent, wrong_promise, follow_up — with confidence scores attached. Sentiment analysis, transcription, and embeddings are available on the Scale plan. AI & agent docs →
How does the AI Signal Layer work?
Every incoming message is processed by the Nexus AI layer, which classifies intent, detects urgency, and surfaces actionable signals. Tags appear on the conversation in real time so your team can prioritize without reading every message manually.
Does Nexus integrate with n8n or other automation tools?
Yes. Nexus supports event-driven webhooks and direct n8n integration. You can trigger automation workflows on order status changes, new conversations, AI-tagged messages, and more — no code required for common flows.
Can AI agents operate Nexus autonomously?
Yes. Nexus is agent-native. AI agents can self-register, authenticate, and operate Nexus via the MCP server (Streamable HTTP, protocol version 2025-03-26) — without any human involvement. 13 MCP tools cover contacts, orders, inventory, conversations, and search. The free tier gives read-only MCP access with no credit card required. MCP self-registration guide →

Security & Multi-tenancy

Is Nexus secure and multi-tenant?
Yes. Nexus is a true multi-tenant SaaS with strict data isolation between organizations. Role-based access control, scoped API keys, encrypted communications (TLS), and Row Level Security (RLS) at the database layer ensure each tenant's data is fully separated.
How does Nexus handle data isolation between tenants?
Each organization is a fully isolated tenant. Data is partitioned at the database level using Supabase Row Level Security. API keys and JWT tokens are scoped to a single organization and cannot access data across tenants.
What compliance certifications does Nexus have?
Nexus is SOC 2 Type II in progress. Data is encrypted in transit (TLS) and at rest. If you have specific compliance requirements for your region or industry, contact us to discuss.

Integrations & API

What platforms does Nexus integrate with?
WhatsApp Business API, Facebook Messenger, Instagram DMs, Shopify, WooCommerce, Bosta (shipping), Issabel PBX (VoIP), and n8n (automation). REST APIs and webhooks are available for any custom integration. Integrations docs →
Does Nexus have a public API?
Yes. Nexus exposes a versioned REST API backed by an OpenAPI spec. Every operation available in the UI is also available via API. Keys support scoped read-only or read-write permissions. OpenAPI spec →
Can AI agents use Nexus via MCP?
Yes. Nexus implements the Model Context Protocol (MCP, version 2025-03-26) over Streamable HTTP. 13 tools cover contacts, orders, inventory, conversations, messaging, and cross-entity search. Compatible with Claude Desktop, Claude Code, Cursor, and any MCP-compliant client. MCP integration guide →

Yes — Arabic-first from day one. The AI Signal Layer processes Arabic and English equally well. The platform is localized, and regional integrations (Bosta courier, Issabel PBX) are supported out of the box. Nexus is built and operated in Cairo, Egypt.

Still have a question?

Our team responds within one business day. We're based in Cairo — Arabic and English are both fine.
